Development of Rihemberk castle – Regional centre of sustainable tourism and creativity
The Municipality of Nova Gorica is known as the Slovenian town on the border with the neighbouring Italy. The borders have fallen, new ties have been built between the Slavic and Roman world. The town hosts diverse cultural events, sports events and represents an economic and administrative center of the wider region. As a unique example in Europe, the two towns are located at the border with no border crossings and live in a greater co-exsistence at all leves.
