Its attractive location in the area of the former international border crossing of Vrtojba places the municipality into the area of the 5th Pan-European corridor and provides it with development opportunities on a local, regional and national level. In addition, even the public areas themselves provide a vision of strategic development in terms of logistics, tourism and other economic activities, enabling the development of the Primorska Technology Park as a regional institution which is in charge of the development, operation and growth of innovative enterprises with demanding technology standards.
Although businesses and companies have been unable to completely avoid the trials and tribulations brought along by the economic crisis, they have proven that, with the proper amount of hard work, perseverance, knowledge and openness to new ideas, it is possible to survive and thrive – and they should be supported in this. The local community is aware of this and is taking action in order to improve the entrepreneurial culture and create an effective and completely supportive environment, to ensure the best infrastructure possible and to create an effective environment for development and innovation, which means creating new values. On the other hand, a great deal of maturity, professionalism, business professionalization and the right mix of corporate responsibility is required from entrepreneurs for the growth and development of companies. And I believe this is something our entrepreneurs do not lack.
